Update – 11/26/2018

The roadway contractor continued constructing the base for the temporary pavement. Hot-Mix Asphalt was placed at the widening locations this past week and is anticipated to continue this week. Lane closures will be required for this work at various times throughout the day. Delays should be expected. Traffic will be shifted west when the temporary pavement placement is complete. Utility companies continued moving facilities in conflict with the proposed improvements. Nicor Gas crews continued welding and installing steel pipe sections on the east side of Quentin Road. Update – 11/19/2018

The roadway contractor continued work necessary to construct the temporary pavement this week. Pavement is anticipated to be placed in the upcoming days which will require lane closures at various times throughout the work day.  Delays should be expected.  The road will be widened to the west so that traffic can be shifted to construct the east side of the road.  Utility companies continued moving facilities.  Nicor crews continued welding steel pipe and pulling sections under East Cuba Road.  AT&T continued installing underground ducts and manholes throughout the project limits. Update – 11/12/2018

This week the roadway contractor started work necessary to construct the temporary pavement. Work included earth excavation, removal of curb and gutter, guardrail, and aggregate shoulders. The temporary pavement is needed to shift traffic on Quentin Road to the west in order construct the east side of the road. Utility companies continued moving facilities in conflict with the proposed improvements. Nicor Gas crews continued welding steel pipe sections and installing them on the east side of Quentin Road near the intersections of East Cuba Road and West Cuba Road. Update – 11/06/2018

Utility companies continued moving facilities in conflict with the proposed improvements this past week. Nicor Gas crews welded steel pipe sections in preparation for installation on the east side of Quentin Road. AT&T continued hanging new aerial cable and installing underground ducts throughout the job limits. Work on the temporary pavement is anticipated to begin this week.
