Update – 12/17/2018

Preparations have started for shifting Quentin Road traffic onto temporary pavement. Traffic workers installed vertical panels along what will be the new right edge line for southbound Quentin Road. Workers also started removing the existing pavement markings which will be replaced with temporary markings to accommodate the shifted lanes. The complete traffic switch will be finished this week. Please be alert of the lane changes when driving through the construction zone.

Utility companies continued moving facilities in conflict with the proposed improvements. Nicor Gas continued welding and installing steel pipe sections on the east side of Quentin Road both north and south of East Cuba Road. The long line of assembled 20” steel pipe on the east side of the road is scheduled to be pulled in place this week by using a boring machine near Boschome Drive. Nicor also continued work on the smaller 4” distribution line north of Pheasant Ridge Road. AT&T crews continued installing underground ducts north of West Cuba Road and north of Lea Lane.

Please check the Photos tab for more in-depth information regarding the project.
