Update – 7/09/19

This past week, work began on a segmental concrete block retaining wall north of East Cuba Road. The foundation was excavated and block installation started.  Removal of the existing Quentin road pavement continued at various locations. Storm sewer installation continued between the Kildeer Village Hall and West Cuba Road.  Steady progress was made on the retaining wall at Buffalo Creek as the wall increased in height and expanded further in the north and south directions. This week, work will continue on the retaining walls north of East Cuba Road and at Buffalo Creek. In addition, work will resume at the retaining wall south of Illinois Route 22. The existing box culvert at this location will be extended east and pass through the face of the wall. Earth excavation and embankment will also continue provided that the recent dry weather remains.
