Update – 7/29/19
Storm sewer installation was completed last week south of Boschome Drive.
Work on the retaining wall at Buffalo Creek is nearing completion. Reinforcing steel was installed and concrete was poured at portions of this wall on Tuesday. The balance of the concrete for this wall is expected to be poured this week.
Roadway aggregate was placed along most of the new lanes between East Cuba Road and Greenwood Drive. The aggregate placement operation will now focus on areas south of Boschome Drive now that storm sewer installation is complete. Other work performed last week included installation of the retaining wall south of West Cuba Road and ComEd installed new poles and aerial wire between East and West Cuba Roads.
This coming week, work will begin on a retaining wall north of Greenwood Drive and on a retaining wall south of the Kildeer Village Hall. These operations will take several weeks to complete. Storm sewer crews will focus on areas north of Greenwood Drive. Sanitary sewer pipe installation will resume south of East Cuba Road. The existing line is being relocated to deeper elevations to avoid conflicts with the proposed roadway.
