Update – 9/24/19
Asphalt paving was completed last week for the first stage of work. The newly paved lanes are the future northbound Quentin Road. Your patience during this operation was appreciated!
Last week, installation of underground conduit for the traffic signal interconnect started. The interconnect system links traffic signals together to improve traffic flow by optimizing signal timing.
Aggregate was also placed for the future shared use path on the east side of Quentin Road. Paving of this path is anticipated at the end of next week.
A new traffic pattern is anticipated at the end of this week. Northbound traffic will be shifted east through the project limits on to the new asphalt pavement. This is necessary to construct areas of the future medians and temporary pavement. This lane configuration will be in place until approximately the end of October when southbound lanes will also be shifted east. Other work anticipated this week includes continuing aggregate placement for the shared use path and conduit for the new traffic signals.
