Update – 10/21/19
Work in the median of Quentin Road continued last week throughout the project limits. Pavement removal was followed by extending the storm sewer crossings, grading, and then asphalt pavement. The pavement installed at the north and south project limits is permanent; the areas in between will be temporary and is needed to maintain traffic while the west half is constructed. Paving is expected to continue through the end of the week.
The shared use path was also paved last week. The gaps at the intersections will be constructed in concrete with ADA warning tiles at the curbs. This work is expected to be complete near the end of the week.
Work will continue in the median this week to prepare for asphalt pavement. In addition, westbound traffic on East Cuba Road is expected to be shifted south so the north half of the road can be constructed.
The current lane configuration is expected to be in place until the beginning of November. When paving is completed in the center of Quentin Road, the southbound lanes will be shifted east so the west side of the road can be constructed. This lane configuration will be in place through the winter.
