Update – 10/28/19

Work in the median of Quentin Road continued last week throughout the project limits.  Similar to the previous week, pavement removal was followed by extending the storm sewer crossings, grading, and installing temporary asphalt pavement.  Paving in the medians is expected to continue through the end of this week.

Eastbound traffic on East Cuba Road was shifted south.  This allowed the old pavement on the north side of the road to be removed and excavated, along with aggregate placed for the new road bed.  Concrete curb was poured along the north edge as the last step before pavement is placed.

Temporary paving in the median of Quentin Road and on West Cuba Road will continue this week.  Permanent pavement is anticipated this week on the north side of East Cuba Road.

The current lane configuration is expected to be in place until the beginning of November.  When paving is completed in the center of Quentin Road, the southbound lanes will be shifted east so the west side of the road can be constructed.  Pavement marking for the next stage of construction may begin this week.  This lane configuration will be in place through the winter.
