Update – 12/03/19
Earth excavation started last week for two new retaining walls on the west side of Quentin Road, both south of West Cuba Road. The retaining wall across from Boschome Drive will be nearly 650 feet long and up to 14 feet in height. Sheeting was installed for this wall to help facilitate construction due to limited working space. The wall north of Pine Lake Circle will be nearly 410 feet long and just over 12 feet tall. Hydraulic mulch was applied to the east side of Quentin Road to help control soil erosion.
Work anticipated this week includes continuing earth excavation for retaining wall construction and gas line removal.
Nicor gas crews continued removing the 18” gas line that was retired last May. Removal efforts this week will be at the retaining wall north of Pine Lake Circle. Removal at this location will continue through the end of the week. Removal of the remaining sections of retired gas pipe is expected to be complete before the end of the year.
