Update – 09/04/2018

Temporary erosion control items were installed this past week at various locations throughout the project limits. The temporary signals at the West Cuba Road and East Cuba Road intersections are scheduled to be turned on this week, followed by the removal of the existing traffic signal equipment. Multiple utilities companies continue to move facilities in conflict with the proposed roadway including AT&T and Nicor Gas. Please continue to check the website for updates.

Update – 08/27/2018

Installation of temporary traffic signal is complete at the East Cuba Road and West Cuba Road intersections with Quentin Road. They are scheduled to be turned on the week of September 4th. This will be followed by removal of the existing traffic signals. Brush and tree clearing within the limits of construction was completed last week. Work scheduled for the next couple of weeks include installation of temporary erosion control devices, temporary fencing, and tree protection. Utilities companies continue to relocate their facilities in conflict with the improvement throughout the project limits. Please continue to check the website for updates.

Update – 08/20/2018

Installation of temporary traffic signals continued this week at the East Cuba Road and West Cuba Road intersections with Quentin Road. Brush and tree clearing within the limits of construction started on the north end of the project and will continue this week. Work scheduled for the next couple of weeks include installation of temporary erosion control devices, temporary fencing, and tree protections. Update – 08/13/2018

Work started this past week installing poles and wiring for the temporary traffic signals at the East Cuba Road and West Cuba Road intersections with Quentin Road. Signal heads are hung on cables attached to the temporary poles so that they can be moved during construction as traffic alignments change. Tree removal within the limits of construction is scheduled to begin at the end of the week. Work will begin this week installing poles and wiring for the temporary traffic signals at the Quentin Road intersections of East Cuba Road and West Cuba Road. Utilities companies will continue to relocate their facilities in conflict with the improvement throughout the project limits. It is anticipated some utility conflict areas will be resolved at the end of August which will then allow the road contractor to begin construction of temporary pavement in September.
